SBHA Chapter 1

Yu Ze sat upright in front of the dressing room mirror, looking at the person in the mirror. He had just finished applying his makeup; his expression was glowing and vigorous, without a tinge of fatigue. This time he was acting as a professor from the Republic of China, with gold rimmed glasses, full of scholarly flair.

He was the only one left in the dressing room. It was his habit to keep to himself ten minutes before the start of filming; it was easier to get into character.

“The people sitting here today, are the future hope of our country….” Yu Ze recited from memory, as he felt out a small bottle of pills from the depth of his backpack. He familiarly opened it.

Just as Yu Ze swallowed the pill, there was commotion from outside of the dressing room. Someone knocked on the door.

Yu Ze quickly tucked the medicine back into his bag as he said, in a deep voice, “Please enter.”

His assistant Chen Xian leaned half of his body in. “Teacher Yu, the second son of the Song family came, the director invited you over.”

Yu Ze softly sighed. “I will immediately.”

He didn’t like it when celebrities visited the filmings; time was delayed and the rhythm was disturbed. But socializing was also a part of work.

Let alone this movie and its deep connection with the Song family; the Song family’s backing and support had been indispensable.

He stood up, yet idled for another minute. He was not deliberately making the others wait, but was instead waiting for the mild medicinal flavor of the pill to fade away.  Then he pushed the door open and left.

There was already a circle of people in the studio, many reporters had also arrived. The second son of the Song family* was young and handsome, he was the most high-profile member of the family. He was the point of attention wherever he went, to say nothing of his grand fanfare of a visit today.

* Song Er Gongzi → second son/prince/scion of the Song family; this phrase will be used interchangeably

Yu Ze smiled as he walked over. The crowd immediately parted.

What the set had the most, were lights. Yu Ze stood under the bright lighting, without a blemish of flaw, every gesture as if he was born just for the stage. The crowd quieted for him in a second.

The director beckoned him: “Yu Ze, come, let’s take a picture together.”

The several people stood there, from left to right: the director, the male lead Yu Ze, the second son of the Song Family, and the supporting actor Qiao Ruo Ming.

Yu Ze was facing the director, while Second Young Master Song only looked at Qiao Ruo Ming. The two were pressed in the middle, but the distance between them was as great as the Great East African Rift Valley, with neither sparing the other a glance.

Everyone knew who Second Young Master Song was here to see – the currently popular, young man Qiao Ruo Ming. Unlike Yu Ze, he was originally a singer, and had previously released several hit singles. Then he advanced into the film and television industry and snagged not a few good roles. His rise was instant, like a tumultuous rush. Last year, he was even shortlisted with Yu Ze at one of the most honorable domestic film festivals. But Qiao Ruo Ming had only been along with him for the running, and Yu Ze won the title of “Film Emperor” without any suspense.

The industry and the movie fans had thought that this result was the most reasonable and fair – Yu Ze had been publicly acknowledged to have good acting skills ever since his debut. He was even a frequent guest at film festivals, and had already been nominated several times.

But Second Young Master Song had cried injustice for Qiao Ruo Ming, and had insisted that Qiao Ruo Ming was the more talented one. This piece of news caused a lot of noise at the time. It was said that Song Er Gongzi had even finished preparing a celebratory banquet for Qiao Ruo Ming, but Qiao Ruo Ming had returned empty-handed, which led to particular disappointment.

So until the filming of this movie began this year, Qiao Ruo Ming and Yu Ze had competed for the role of the male lead. In the end, the producer and the director chose Yu Ze, and Qiao Ruo Ming could only accept the role of supporting actor.

This made the Song Er Gongzi even more dissatisfied with Yu Ze.

Yu Ze’s heart was very clear. Today, Second Young Master Song came to visit; he made a large ruckus, brought many gifts to show gratitude; it was of course not for him.

Even though Yu Ze was wearing a mild smile, it was purely for the sake of etiquette. After taking a few group pictures, he wanted to leave, but a meddlesome reporter wanted to snap a picture of him with Song Er Gongzi.

“Yu Ze, wait a minute!”

“The two in the middle, look this way!”

“Mr. Song! I heard that you were previously dissatisfied with the casting for this movie, is that true?” an entertainment reporter did not think it a big deal, and directly asked Song Er Gongzi.

The hearts of largely half of the crew rose into their throats. The Second Young Master Song was, to put it nicely, a coarse fellow, an independent wild horse, and just like an unruly, unrestrained breeze. To put it bluntly, he simply had no qualms about anything.

Who knew what he would say at this time! The film had the investment of the Song family, so even if the Second Young Master wanted to spew his heart, he really had no pressure.

Song Yan swept an eye over the crowd of entertainment reporters, and unhurriedly said: “I am not dissatisfied with the casting. I only said there could have been a better choice. But from what I see so far, everything has been great. Please do not distort my meaning.”

Even if he was the avant-garde of the Song Family, he had been born real well. Height close to 1.9 meters, and one glance was enough to ascertain that his figure was built from working out. His facial features were straight and handsome, his brows and eyes perfect to the point of making one want to measure them. But the most envious point was that once he put away his smile, he would immediately become an awe-imposing, serious, natural-born Alpha male.

He stretched out a hand to Yu Ze, and Yu Ze shook hands with him – – each avoided the other’s palm, only their fingers touched for a handshake that barely concealed their hypocritical show of affection.

The moment their fingers touched, the accident happened.

The lights above their heads haphazardly flickered. Everyone raised their heads to look, but before they could react, there was again the strange dull sound. Immediately followed by shaking.

Someone in the crowd shouted: “Earthquake!”

Yu Ze and Song Yan’s hands had already separated. Yu Ze saw his assistant shouting something. Everyone seemed to want to run, but there were so much stuff inside the studio, the various sorts of equipment all swaying. The shaking of the ground seemed to intensify, and there was no sign of stopping. The lights flickered bright, then dimmed.

Yu Ze immediately grabbed the director’s arm. He supported the director and followed along with the stream of people. “To the emergency exit!”

He walked with the director for a bit in the darkness. There was noise everywhere, and there was still rumbling from some unknown distance.  He suddenly felt pain in his back as something crashed down onto him hard. And then he lost consciousness.

Yu Ze felt as if he slept for as long as a century. His head was very heavy, but his brain did not even seem to be there; and for a moment, he wholly did not know time and space. He cracked his eyes open, looked along the ray of faint light, only to see pale blue curtains.

After some time, Yu Ze finally remembered.

The filming studio, an earthquake. Something heavy struck him, and he passed out. Right now, he should be at a hospital.

He testily moved his limbs. Passable. The toes and hands could be consciously moved. Only his right arm hurted bad, and had been fitted into a cast. Probably been fractured.

While Yu Ze was still slowly groping for the physical condition of his body, he suddenly felt that something was wrong. He had been coping with his estrus, the unique characteristic of Omegas, for the past few days. He took inhibitors twice a day in order to work normally, but even then, there would still be a sort of weary, stifling heat in his body. He would experience that feeling nearly once every two months, and he was already very familiar with it.

But now, even if his arm was awful painful, but the internal discomfort brought by his estrus had completely disappeared.

“Could it be that the doctor gave him some sort of strong medicine?” Yu Ze muttered in his heart. He hoped that they had not arbitrarily given him any medication…..

Just as he was thinking, a nurse came in.

“You’re awake?” Her voice was soft beyond comparison.

“How is the studio?” Yu Ze immediately asked. He felt that his voice came out a bit hoarse, somewhat unlike his own voice.

“It’s all right, it’s all right, no need to worry,” the nurse said, “ Your older brother is here.”

Yu Ze was a bit confused. He was the eldest of his family, where did an older brother come from?

A tall man walked in, his face very similar to that of the second Young Master Song.

“Song Qi?” Yu Ze blurted out.

The person in front of him was Song Yan’s elder brother and the eldest son of the Song family, Song Qi.

Song Qi knew that his brother had not been seriously injured, only a fracture in the arm, but that injury could have been avoided – Song Yan had bodyguards by his side.

When the earthquake had hit, Song Yan had rashly struggled free from the bodyguards’ protection, and went to protect Qiao Ruo Ming. He not only broke his arm, but had also sent the Film Emperor Yu Ze flying.

Song Qi glared at the person lying on the bed.

“Dad and Mom are flying back tonight. You honestly stay here, and properly recuperate.”

Yu Ze did not say a word.

Song Qi had initially been very angry, but he became a bit worried upon seeing the lost and confused face.

“How do you feel now?”

Yu Ze said, “I think the medicine the doctor gave me was too strong. I’m a bit high*.”

* high → Yu Ze used the words “I think I’m flying”

Author has some words to say:
The first chapter is here, an unexpected body-swap!
ABO mpreg setting, younger gong, film emperor is the shou.
The two initially both look down on each other, but later on will be very fragrant ha ha ha

Translator has some words to say:
The second chapter should be up once I finish editing it.

Updates will be more regular once I figure out how exactly WordPress works.

Please note that Second Young Master Song and Song Er Gongzi mean the same person. If many think that is confusing, I shall try to stick to just one. I’m also a bit of a grammar-nazi, so also please do tell me if the language comes out too stiff! (If it’s not too stiff, I do have a nsfw planned mwahahaha we’ll see, we’ll see~~~~)

And lastly, while Chinese is my second language, there are a lot of slangs and phrases that I’m clueless about. But I will try my best~

Hugs and kisses, see you all at chapter 2 ~
