Chapter 0. Prologue

When the man stooped down to kiss him, he could see in the eyes a light that made him feel entranced.

His expression so gentle, brought with it a rare, slight happiness. The man’s hair, the man’s lips; all so beautiful, left his mind entirely intoxicated, and disoriented he wanted to touch.

His fingertips lightly touched his face. He softly called his name: “Han Liang”.

But the man never answered, he only buried his head into the crook of his neck, his breath warm, and moist with heat. Sometimes, the man would indistinctly mutter, as if he was calling out a name – only that, he never was able to clearly hear whether or not it was his own name.

He dared not ask.

He dared not offend him.

He was his God, the God he was enamored with for life.

Gu Han Liang.

His name is Zhang Zi Tuo, he is a fool.

He had foolishly thought that he was very blessed, thought that the person called “Gu Han Liang” liked him. Even though, he always believed that his birthday was April 7^th, when his birthday was really July 4^th. Even though, he never ever told him he liked him, and only seldom did he call his name. Even though, he never had time to accompany him, but always had time to attend boring banquets.

But when Gu Han Liang went to Mr. Xiao to ask for a bodyguard, and the moment he was called to stand in front of him, the man truly did smile. That smile, he swears, was full of coddling and wild with joy, almost as if standing in front of him, was the treasure of his life.

There was a person who looked exactly like him, and he sat opposite to the man. And that usually cold and high and mighty man was actually willing to soften his facial expression and fill the other’s bowl with rice, with soup. Was willing to pick out the fish bones.

That was the first time Zhang Zi Tuo saw Liang Si Wei. At the very moment he saw Liang Si Wei, he finally understood why Gu Han Liang would smile at him the first time he saw him. Finally understood why such a man as the Patriarch of the Winfield Family would willingly stay in China to embrace a bodyguard. He fell, and watched Gu Han Liang standing there motionless, watched Liang Si Wei question him loudly, watched the chaotic scene, watched until Mr. Xiao received the news and hurried to rescue him.

Amidst the chaos, he looked up hopefully at the dazzling sun, but he sank into darkness while amidst the rays of light. He suddenly thought of a sentence, a lyric. He had never thought that the lyric would come true for him.

One love loved until this moment,

* 一愛至斯，盡付笑談; a person falls in love, and continues to keep loving, until this moment, when he is repaid in full by becoming someone that other people laugh at. That is, a love that has been kept for a long time, becomes like a joke. (I tried to make it poetic…but I think I failed)

He recuperated for a year, and completely resigned from Mr. Xiao’s. During that year, only his junior brother Zeng Fan Chen, who grew up with him since childhood, stayed with him. Junior sister Su Ye and Master Zhan Chen sometimes came to see him. He lived inside Fan Chen’s house, and there was the beauty of a garden just outside the window. This kind of life was warm and ordinary, but also isolated from the rest of the world.

By the time he was considered to have recovered well, the fight between Gu Han Liang and Hua Jue An over Liang Si Wei was already a thing of the past. Liang Si Wei had finally let the man let go.
