SBHA Chapter 2 v2

Chapter 2. You are Omega?

“You speak such nonsense!” Song Qi scolded his younger brother.

This was the Song family’s own hospital; there would only be the most meticulous care for Song Yan, even a whisper of a mistake was unlikely. So how was it possible to give Song Yan some random medication?

Yu Ze intuitively decided that he would be better off shutting his mouth; he was already not feeling well.

Song Qi said a few more words, saw that his younger brother was awake and clear, and that asides from him being a bit quiet, everything else was normal. He didn’t think too much – if a sudden injury could make this mischievous younger brother straighten out for a few days, then that really wasn’t too bad.

He was also a very busy person and couldn’t keep staying there to accompany Song Yan.

“I’m flying to Frankfurt this afternoon. Mom will come see you in the evening, to see if you can be discharged to rest at home.”

After explaining the matter, Song Qi left in a hurry.

Once Song Qi was gone, Yu Ze again tossed around some more, pondering the philosophical question of “Who am I, where am I?”.

Yu Ze originally didn’t want to touch the body’s “privacy”, but even a helpless person would still have the three urges*. He could only accept the nurse’s help down to the washroom, where he saw the something he didn’t want to see.

* three urges → comes from the saying 人有三急 “a person has three urges/emergencies/needs”; and they are: the need to piss/poop, the need to procreate, and the need to eat/drink

While washing his hands, Yu Ze faced the mirror and repeatedly confirmed. He finally accepted the reality that it wasn’t medicine that made him feel so out of it, but that his soul was truly in the body of Song Yan.

In all fairness, Song Yan’s body was one good body; the figure was perfect, the facial features were handsome. Asides from the injured arm and slight dizziness, everything was fine.

So the question was then, what about his own body?

He asked the nurse to turn on the television. Several stations were looping the news broadcast about the earthquake, along with the latest progress of the search and rescue. Fortunately, as the magnitude of the earthquake wasn’t large, there hadn’t been any deaths. But however, as it happened during a weekday, when everyone was either at work or at school, many had been injured, and the traffic of the inner roads even paralyzed.

By now the wounded had been sent to the hospitals, and the number of casualties was still being counted.

As Yu Ze was in Song Yan’s body, he’d been sent to the Song Family’s private hospital.

That first-class VIP ward was large to the point of being ridiculous, and the equipment was top-quality, with all sorts of user-friendly designs. The large electronically controlled curtains sluggishly parted. Outside the windows was the pleasant scenery of a garden fountain, around which several large toy-like alpacas grazed on the lawn; a diversion for the patients lying in the wards.

Song Yan’s assistant and bodyguards kept watch outside the door, awaiting further instructions. Yu Ze asked to speak to the assistant, and a seemingly extremely experienced and professional assistant immediately entered.

Yu Ze cleared his throat, adopted Second Young Master Song’s tone, and asked, “What happened to the studio? How many were injured?”

He had no family living there, so at that moment he was most concerned about his friends, colleagues, and also himself.

The assistant immediately replied, “Ten or so were injured, all have been sent to the hospital, none of their lives were in danger. Qiao Ruo Ming needs stitches on his leg….”

Yu Ze’s heart sank. “I….what about Yu Ze?”

Song Yan’s assistant, Fang Yuan, was slightly surprised. Second Young Master unexpectedly did not continue to ask about Qiao Ruo Ming, but instead asked about Yu Ze.

But Fang Yuan was extremely proficient; she was already used to setting aside human emotions when facing Song Yan, otherwise she would have long been infuriated to death.

She tapped at the tablet in her hands, and quickly replied to Yu Ze’s question, “Yu Ze – witnesses say that he had been sent to Guang Ya Hospital. The condition of his injury is unknown, it is unclear whether he has regained consciousness. I will contact Guang Ya immediately.”

“Try to get in contact with Yu Ze himself for me!”

Just as Fang Yuan readily agreed, her mobile phone began to ring. She glanced at the message on the phone, and was finally somewhat astonished, “Mr. Song, Yu Ze wants to talk to you.”

Yu Ze immediately gestured at her, signaling her to hurry.

Not long after, Fang Yuan handed the cell phone over to Yu Ze. Just as he pressed the cellphone to his ear, he heard his own flustered and exasperated voice from within. He immediately gave Fang Yuan a meaningful glance.

Fang Yuan and the nurse discretely left the ward.

“Hey! Do you hear me?” The sound on the other side of the phone was very fierce.

Being asked such a question by his own voice….really felt strange. Only that, the manner of speaking sounded like a complete different person. He tentatively asked, “You are not Yu Ze, right?”

“Yu Ze?”

“Song Yan?”

They called out each other’s name at the same time.

Yu Ze gave a slight sigh of relief. This was a blessing in disguise; fortunately there was only an exchange between the two, so they were able to quickly ascertain who was in their own body. If more people were involved…he didn’t even dare to imagine what type of alien creature may have occupied his body.

However, the Song Yan on the other side of the phone was even more resentful. “You are too much! I called for half an hour, and was transferred from assistant to assistant, and transferred for half an hour before I could finally talk to Fang Yuan! Who do you think you are? Captain Lin Fang?*

*Captain Lin Fang → not the exact words used, but this character was “the owner of Earth” in 地球球長, a novel written in 2019. The summary of the novel reads that: in the year 2020, while the earthlings were oblivious, 632 light years away, Captain Lin Fang had brought the entire earth. Song Yan was basically just asking if Yu Ze felt that he owned the Earth.

Yu Ze was completely speechless. He was new there, how was he to know how Song Yan’s assistant worked? Song Yan’s very words were basically just scolding himself.

Yu Ze didn’t bother to argue with him; he had more crucial business. “How is the body you are in?”

“I…your collarbone is fractured, your waist is pulled, a mild concussion, nothing else major. But I don’t want to stay here.”

“I will immediately handle your hospital transfer,” Yu Ze quickly said.

Song Yan was only then reluctantly appeased. He grunted in reply, but this sound quickly morphed into a strange groan. He grumbled, “What’s with your broken body, it is incompatible with me, everywhere is uncomfortable…”

Yu Ze’s tone was helpless. “About that, I was just about to tell you. You better call a doctor for a dose of inhibitors. I have no allergies, and all the inhibitors on the market could be used.”

The other side of the phone became quiet, and Yu Ze didn’t know whether the other couldn’t hear or was just shocked stupid.

It took two second before Song Yan finally opened his mouth, “You are an omega?”

Yu Ze had to clarify, “I’ve already used 10 ml of the inhibitor this morning. You have around three hours. Within three hours, you need to take it again. There should be no problems. My medicine is always in my backpack, but I’m sure it cannot be found right now. But Guang Ya Hospital’s Dr. Deng Xin is my attending physician, you can ask him for the medicine right away.”

Song Yan seemed to still be struggling. “You’re kidding me?”

Yu Ze’s voice was tranquil, “I don’t use my own privacy to make jokes.”

Song Yan hung the phone up with a bang.

Yu Ze helplessly glanced at the phone; he had no choice but to hope that Song Yan would really listen to his words.

He pushed the bell for Assistant Fang Yuan to re-enter.

“There are a few things,” Yu Ze opened his mouth to command, “You help me handle them.”

Fang Yuan shot a quick look at the person on the hospital bed; she’d thought it just an illusion before, but she’d just again felt it – the Second Young Master’s manner of speaking was suddenly much gentler.

“Prepare me a new cell phone.”

Just as Yu Ze’s voice fell, Fan Yuan promptly replied, “It’s already prepared.”

He nodded. “And also, the future incoming calls from Yu Ze will be handled by me, I want to be able to contact him anytime, anywhere.”

“Okay.”

Her lips said okay, but her heart had already ran a lap around the sports field. What was this? Whaaaat was this? Second Young Master woke up from a coma, and the object of attention suddenly became Yu Ze?

“Lastly, handle Yu Ze’s hospital transfer at once. Transfer him here. I need to see him today.”

Fang Yuan seemed to suddenly see the light, but before she turned to leave, she added, “Qiao Ruo Ming is undergoing treatment on the third floor right now.”

“Oh.”

Upon recalling that he was now in Song Yan’s body, Yu Ze tacked on another line, “Take good care of him.”

Fang Yuan seemed to hear his reluctance. She blinked at “Song Yan” and gave him a knowing glance, “I understand.”

As for exactly what she understood, Yu Ze didn’t really care; it was fine as long as she could quickly bring the person over.

Song Yan was, at that time, on the brink of an explosion. As if opening his eyes just to find out that he was no longer himself wasn’t enough, Yu Ze also had to tell him that he was actually an Omega, and that he could lose control at any moment!

Song Yan almost squeezed the cell phone to bits – a pity that this body’s grip couldn’t even compare to his!

“Yu….Teacher Yu….” Yu Ze’s assistant, Chen Xian, was a little scared. He’d no idea why, but the always calm Teacher Yu had been very emotional and violent after waking up. He kept muttering words like “This is impossible” and “How is this possible?”.

“You’d better lie down and rest, don’t get too excited….” Chen Xian reminded him.

Song Yan was not at all in the mood to listen to these words.

“Shut up!” He angrily roared.

One hour later, Song Yan finally arrived at the Song Family’s private hospital. The medical staff carefully sent him to a single-patient ward.

Just as he laid down, Fang Yuan knocked on the door and entered.

Song Yan knew her type of proficient manner the best. She was there to probe for first-hand information.

At that moment, Song Yan was uncomfortable everywhere; even if he used the inhibitor, he still felt oddly nauseated. And he didn’t even know if it was real or just a figment of his imagination.

“Teacher Yu*, don’t worry, the software and hardware here are all better than at Guang Ya. You will definitely receive the best of care.” Fang Yuan’s words were amiable, but her two large eyes were like searchlights, not even a bit muddled.

* doesn’t mean that he’s a teacher; it’s just a form of respect for a professional, kind of like the japanese word “sensei”

Song Yan felt that she was going to search a hole through him.

In all his twenty five years of living, his frame of mind had never been this poor before; he didn’t even have the heart to be talk superficial nonsense with her.

His voice was cold. “Song Yan is awake? I want to see him.”

And so Song Yan underwent another barrage of checkups, before he was finally sent to the VIP ward – where “Second Young Master Song” was waiting for him.
